Iga Swiatek’s Epic Win Over Karolina Muchova at National Bank Tennis Open: Full Match Recap and Highlights

In a long-awaited duel, but which ultimately exercised the patience of the two belligerents, the organizers and Quebec tennis fans, Poland’s Iga Swiatek qualified for the quarter-final round of the National Bank Tennis Open thanks to a three-set 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win over Czech Karolina Muchova on Thursday at IGA Stadium.

While Swiatek overcame Muchova on center court, Russia’s Daria Kasatkina also earned her bye to the quarter-finals with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Czech Marie Bouzkova on center court. Rogers.

Kasatkina’s next opponent will be the winner of the match between American Sloane Stephens and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, which will close Thursday night’s action on Rogers Court.
