The UAE government’s respect for the delivery boy who removed the obstructions on the road due to the wind that blew in Dubai the other day. Waqas Sarwar, a native of Pakistan, was honored with an award by the UAE Ministry of Labour.
A video of a delivery boy removing items blown onto the road by the wind went viral. Waqas said that he started removing them following realizing that people, including himself, were at risk of getting into harm’s way, and he believed that it was his responsibility to remove the roadblock.
The video that someone captured from the top of the building went viral. Waqas realizes that he is viral only following 48 hours.
Under Secretary Khalil Al Khoori handed over the awards to Waqas following inviting him to the Ministry headquarters. Waqas said that this is a great recognition for him.
