After the PASO of 2019, the worst day in the history of the national stock market since the actions of some companies fell up to 50% following knowing the results that would lead to the presidency of Alberto Fernández.

In this context, we communicated with the economist Claudio Caprarulowho spoke regarding the possibility of a new black Monday following the PASO of this August 13.

A new black Monday?

“What happens will depend on the resultthere we will see how the market scenario is discounted”, shot Caprarulo, who later completed: “We are facing a STEP with a very different scenario from August 2019”.

“After the PASO of 2019, a stock was put back on and we already have an economy with more restrictions for the sale and purchase of dollars, if there is an exchange shock it will be seen in the parallel dollars”delved.

Along the same lines, the interviewee said that the Government has more tools for the shock to be transmitted directly. “The devaluation of the official dollar is accelerating a lot, it is around 11%”he detailed.

Likewise, the economist said that the agreement with the IMF is only an understanding: “The Fund will make a disbursement in the second half of August that has goals to be carried out”.

Finally, Caprarulo said that the details behind the understanding are not known. “We do not know if an adverse scenario would be reflected in the shares and, therefore, in the price of the parallel dollar”he concluded.
