(CNN Spanish) –– The crime of the Colombian Luz Mery Tristán, former world skating champion – which the authorities are investigating as a femicide – caused shock and indignation in the country.

The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation reported this Monday that a guarantee judge in the city of Cali issued a custodial measure for Andrés Mauricio Ricci, the alleged murderer of the former skater, found dead in Ricci’s home last weekend. . He denied the charges.

The measure is imposed following investigations in which officials of the Prosecutor’s Office managed to collect “material evidence, physical evidence and legally obtained information that was sufficient to frame the captured person, the victim’s sentimental partner, with the crime of aggravated femicide in a heterogeneous contest with the crime of illegal carrying of weapons”, added the sectional director in Cali of the Prosecutor’s Office, Sandra Eugenia Gonzáles.

Regarding this last crime, the institution explained that during the judicial proceeding the authorities found and seized in the house a semi-automatic pistol, a revolver and three traumatic pistols, of which they reported that they did not have “the documents that prove their carrying permit”. .

In a statement issued on Monday, the Prosecutor’s Office added that at the time of the investigation the alleged culprit was in possession of one of the firearms, of which, according to the technical analyzes of the institution’s forensic ballistics experts, the victim would have received the impact.

The investigation of the Prosecutor’s Office also pointed out that the relationship of both allegedly presented acts of physical and psychological violence towards her.

The alleged culprit was charged with aggravated femicide in a heterogeneous and successive contest with the manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms, accessories, parts and ammunition, which were not accepted by him.

According to the statement from the Prosecutor’s Office, the alleged murder of the former skater took place between midnight on Friday, August 4, and Saturday, August 5.

He added that they received an alert of a possible murder in the house where the former world champion was, for which they carried out the legal procedures to be able to enter the place and give her attention.

After that, members of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Prosecutor’s Office and agents of the Cali Metropolitan Police found Tristán’s lifeless body in one of the rooms, with a bullet wound.

The Prosecutor’s Office added that the door of the room where the victim’s body was located had three bullet holes.
