It takes a lot to impress Aaron Rodgers with the career he is enjoying, but young Bryce Young has made a very good impression on him.
The New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers held a joint practice on Wednesday and the two quarterbacks were able to exchange a few words. It was a good time for the 22-year-old footballer to take advantage of some advice from the former Green Bay Packers.

“He told me regarding his experience and wished me luck. He asked me how things were going for me. […] That he takes the time to come and tell me something, I really appreciate it,” Young told the media at a press briefing.
“Aaron Rodgers has been so successful for a long time. Any advice he can give you is valuable,” added the No. 1 pick in the most recent NFL Draft.
In an interview, Rodgers revealed the advice he gave to his counterpart.
“Be indulgent with yourself. It’s a long journey. You might think that every missed game in practice is the end of the world. It’s not true. You have to stay confident and enjoy every moment, he explained. He has a good head on his shoulders, so everything will be fine.
Young, a Crimson Tide product from the University of Alabama, won the Heisman Trophy in 2021. He is set to play the first season of his NFL career.
“I appreciate it very much. We have the same agent, so I’ve known him for a while. I liked watching it in college. I like his demeanor, his way of moving and his way of throwing. Carolina is in good hands,” Rodgers said.
The Jets and Panthers will battle it out in a preseason game Saturday at Bank of America Stadium.
