In another comparison we saw that the Galaxy A24 may not be an interesting purchase compared to its cousin Galaxy A34. But and once morest the Moto G53, does Samsung’s intermediary deliver a better value for money than Motorola’s rival? Let’s find out.

Samsung Galaxy A24
Motorola Moto G53
In design, we see right away that we have a big difference between the two models in our comparison: The Galaxy A24 still adopts the classic drop-shaped notch, while the Moto G53 brings the hole for the selfie camera. Despite this, none makes good use of the frontal area and we have wide edges on both.
The two are pretty much the same size, with the Moto G53 being slightly thinner and lighter. They are made of matte plastic on the sides and adopt a smooth finish on the back. Motorola’s intermediate still sports a block jumped at the rear to house its two cameras. The Galaxy bets on a more minimalist look and comes with an extra camera.
There is a standard headphone jack on both, while the Galaxy stands out for having a triple drawer, which allows you to use two SIM cards and a memory card at the same time. The biometric reader is incorporated into the power button on the side and responds well to both cell phones.
In terms of connectivity, we have fifth-generation Wi-Fi and NFC on both. The Galaxy wins in the latest Bluetooth, while the Motorola has a 5G connection.
Our first point goes to the Moto G53.

Moving on to multimedia, we see that both have the same screen size; in the case 6.5 inches. The difference is for the Full HD+ resolution on the A24 once morest HD+ on the G53. Samsung’s model adopts Super AMOLED panel which achieves stronger brightness, displays better colors, has deeper contrast and wider viewing angle.
The Moto G53’s screen is simpler and we have an LCD panel that only has the advantage of coming with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which guarantees greater fluidity in animations and some games compared to the rival’s screen of only 90 Hz.

Galaxy A24
As
The Galaxy A24 disappoints by having only one speaker and thus being limited to mono sound. The Moto G53 has stereo sound and delivers greater sound power. None is impressive in terms of quality, but Motorola’s has a better balance between bass and treble. It only lacks in the mids that compromise the vocals of the songs a little.
There is an equalizer that helps compensate for this lack of mids. You can choose an optimized profile for each type of media, such as music, movies or games. There is also the option to make adjustments to each frequency individually entitled to Dolby Atmos.
We will give the Moto G53 a point in sound.

Software
Both leave the factory with Android 13, but the Galaxy stands out for being part of the select list of Samsung cell phones that will receive four Android updates with five years of security updates. Which guarantees you’ll see version 17 of the little robot someday.
Motorola usually only delivers a system update in its intermediaries and is also slower than Samsung in this process. Security packages are not released monthly. So if you are always up to date with system updates, you already know which one to choose.
In terms of features, it’s the Galaxy that takes the win with a more complete and customizable interface. The Moto G53 comes with a few extras, but overall it’s pretty much what any Android phone offers.

Performance
In hardware we have a MediaTek chip in the Galaxy A24, the Helio G99 model, and Snapdragon 480 Plus in the Moto G53. Which is more potent? Both reached the same maximum processing speed and although both come with 4GB of RAM, it was the Moto G53 that came out on top in our multitasking-focused speed test.
In benchmarks we have close numbers, which shows that both hardware are at the same performance level. In AnTuTu, we had a small advantage over the Moto G53, but the difference is not even 5%.
And in games? The Moto G53 was able to run Call of Duty with superior graphics quality, but it tends to heat up more frequently. Many games ran well on both devices.

Battery
We have a 5,000 mAh battery in both, but with an absurd difference in autonomy. The Galaxy A24 reached 32 hours of moderate use in our standardized test, far above the 20 hours achieved by the Moto G53. Which ensures that it is able to reach up to two days away from outlets in light use.
Samsung sends a 15W charger in the box that takes almost two hours to fully fill the battery of the A24. Motorola was a little more generous in sending a 20W charger with the Moto G53 to reduce wait times. Still, the difference is small.
We will give the Galaxy A24 a point in battery.

And we come to the cameras. Which has the best photographic set? Both bring a 50 MP sensor, with the advantage of having optical-type stabilization in the Galaxy. Also, we have 2 MP macro camera on both. Another advantage for the Samsung cell phone is that there is a third camera, this being with a 5 MP ultra-wide lens.
The two capture images with similar quality on sunny days, with the Galaxy A24 standing out in colors and HDR. The Moto G53 comes out on top in low-light settings with its more efficient night mode that has less loss of sharpness and less noticeable noise.
None excites with the macro camera that only does the basics, as well as the rather limited digital zoom. The Galaxy’s advantage is in the ultra-wide camera to record wider photos, despite the quality not being the best and suffering a lot at night.
We will give each one point on camera.

Photos captured with the Galaxy A24
The Galaxy A24 brings a front camera with a resolution of 13 MP once morest only 8 MP of the rival. Higher resolution does not always guarantee better photos, but this is the case with our duelists.
The A24 records clearer selfies in any light situation, doesn’t limit HDR when portrait mode is active, and also features less noise in low-light locations.

Both shoot in Full HD with the rear and front. Despite the Galaxy having extra to ultra-wide for wider footage, this camera suffers a lot at night with dark videos, even in the case of the front of the Moto G53. In terms of stabilization, the A24 wins by dealing well with shakes and has a more agile focus than the rival, in addition to better sound capture.

Motorola Moto G53 Compare
Done
We had a good dispute between Samsung and Motorola in this comparison that almost ended in a tie. If you are in doubt regarding which one to buy, then know that the Galaxy A24 is the better of the two for having a screen with superior brightness and better colors, more complete software with guaranteed updates for many years, battery that yields more and better cameras for photos and videos.
The Moto G53 is not far behind and being cheaper it may end up compensating for some. It stands out for having 5G connectivity, better quality stereo sound, superior performance in multitasking and games, in addition to recording better night photos.
