This book, which throws opprobrium on the credibility of the scientific community, however, itself contains dozens of errors but also some remarkable fake graphs, which are not far from forgery in writing.
A short human history of Greenland
Between the year 900 and around the year 1250, Western Europe was marked by very mild temperatures. This episode is called “medieval optimum”. It allowed Erik the Red to establish, with some Vikings, two colonies on the south and west coasts of Greenland. Erik the Red gave this land the name of “green country” hoping to attract settlers there, who never numbered more than 6000.
In fact, besides Greenland not being green, the medieval optimum was local, geographically limited warming. This can be seen on this graph which shows the evolution of the global temperature of the Earth. While the temperatures were indeed a little higher than usual on Greenland, the global temperature of the planet was rather falling.
