On August 12, Dirk Nowitzki will be inducted into the basketball pantheon at the Hall of Fame ceremony alongside Pau Gasol, Tony Parker and… Dwyane Wade. During a recent interview, the legend of the Mavs returned to the rivalry which opposed him to Miami and in particular to Flash during the 2010 decade.

Moment of emotion in sight on August 12th! While the NBA is gently basking in the pill, the greatest players of this game will be honored in 3 days in Springfield. No Homer, Marge or other yellow characters but a legendary vintage with: Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki et Dwyane Wade.

The opportunity to return for Dirk Nowitzki to the fiery battles of the decade between the Heat and the Mavericks. At the microphone of Marc Steinfamous NBA insider, in”The Saturday Stein Line“, the legend of the Mavs returned to this special relationship with Dwyane Wade, next to whom he will be inducted:

“I wouldn’t say we’re friends. There is mutual respect for each other’s careers and we have been cordial. … There’s no more bad blood, obviously. We all moved on, things were said or done that both sides didn’t appreciate, but that’s part of competing at the highest level.

We don’t text each other, but there is a lot of respect between us and we are both happy to enter the Hall of Fame together”. – Dirk Nowitzki via The Saturday Stein Line

It must be said that the clashes between the two boys finally started quite early. From 2006the two future Hall of Famers face each other in the NBA finals with historic players like Shaquille O’Neal and Udonis Haslem for the Heat or Jason Terry for the Mavs. 2006 is the year of the Flash, with a series of mutants and 36 points in Game 6 to win the ring, Dwyane Wade at just 24 years old is already at the top of the big league.

Opposite, Nowitzki, at 28 already suffered a frustrating defeat despite very solid individual performances (22.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Finals). The German giant will rise in 2011 once morest the Heatles of D-Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James by winning the only ring of his immense career in Texas and the title of Finals MVP alongside Jason Kiddet Shawn Marion notably.

In summary, two immense legends of this game who will be honored on August 12 to enter forever into the great grimoire of the National Basket Association also called NBA.
