The 37th. Córdoba Book Fair has a date of completion. The event will take place from October 5 to 16 (with free admission) and from this Wednesday, August 9, until August 18, the call for publishers to participate in the Barón Biza space is open. The call is organized by the Secretary of Culture of the Municipality of Córdoba, to support the development of local independent publishers as agents of the publishing industry.
“With policies of this type, the aim is to make local production visible, the current scene of the sector, generate meeting and exchange spaces, strengthening work networks and the link with new audiences,” the official statement stated.
“Publishers or groups may integrate the stands for exhibition, show and sale of books; the cycle of activities that includes talks, workshops, presentations and/or signing of books, and of authors; in addition to the publication of an anthology; and the virtual catalog available on web platforms and social networks. It should be noted that the aforementioned anthology will be co-published between Baron Biza and the Municipal Editorial, recovering productions from the participating labels, to be given away with the sales of Baron Biza during the FLC. Publishers interested in applying should consult what is required in the Regulations and then complete the Baron Biza Form”, the official statement released by the Municipality of Córdoba specifies.
