One day following the grand finale of Masterchef, the cycle in which she shone as a host for the first time, Wanda Nara decided to give her first interview following her trip to Turkey. The businesswoman went to Istanbul with her husband, Mauro Icardi, and four of her five children, Constantino and Benedicto, from her relationship with Maxi López, and Francesca and Isabella, from her current partner with the Galatasaray player, just following to make it known that he was experiencing a health problem. The recording of Masterchef finished on Friday (July 7), on Sunday (July 9) it was Martín Fierro and I was traveling a few days later. So I did an analysis that, as it became known because it was leaked, did not turn out as we expected, ”she began by saying.
And he continued: “It was something routine that I always do before traveling. Wherever I am, I always have a check-up and then I travel. And it was like a shock because at that moment the first thing they told me was: ‘You can’t get on a plane.’ And it was not known for how long. The truth is that it was a shock for the whole family, because the club had just sent Mauro a plane so that we might make the move and we might leave. And it was all very suddenly.
Aware of the interest there is in her situation, Wanda explained: “The truth is that I doubt a lot regarding whether or not I have to talk regarding it. I would love to be able to speak it freely, but sometimes people judge you. Think if you talk regarding it it’s not real or it’s not that serious. So I prefer to keep it to myself. Obviously, my people and my friends know what is happening and they are. And I think that when I’m a little stronger or feel like I can tell it, I’m going to go out and say it. I would have liked everything to be different. They are the rules of the game and I accept them”.
Thus, the businesswoman was in charge of ruling out the possibility of bringing to Justice those who have spread their diagnosis without their consent. “I’ve been working in this environment since I was very young and the lyrics we don’t like are that. It can happen that there are things that one does not want to come out. Sometimes there are things that you want to get out, sometimes there are things that celebrities publish on purpose to promote ourselves. And, just as they have accompanied me all this time in good times, because I received the Martín Fierro Revelation and they accompanied me in the program I did, many journalists are also accompanying me in private. And I have nothing to tell you who leaked the information to,” she stated.
And he added: “Obviously it shook me, because at a time when I still did not understand what I had or did not know what it was, I had to go out and explain myself. Later, Wanda explained how she experienced her diagnosis in relation to her loved ones. “It happens to me that I feel that I am the strong one in the family,” she explained. And she made it clear that she is the one that contains her sister Zaira, her mother Nora, her husband and her five children. In this sense, she gave as an example the moment in which she had to encourage her husband to encourage him to leave Paris Saint Germain, forcing her and her children to move from France when he was full of doubts. .
“I felt that if I fell, they would all fall with me, because we were all very shocked. It happened with my friends too: Kennys was in shock. So I was walking home in my pajamas and at one point I said: ‘I have to put my batteries together or I’m going to drag everyone with me.’ And that was what happened. Little by little, because the truth is that I didn’t have much time. I had to take care of myself. And I also had to listen to what they were saying outside because my children were going to school in Argentina and when they arrived they asked them questions. So I had to sit down and talk to them, when perhaps I would have waited a little longer,” said the businesswoman.
And with a lump in his throat that was difficult to hide, he pointed out: “These are the rules of the game. Each journalist handles himself as he can or as he sees fit. I have nothing to reproach anyone for. It’s just that, in my case, he changed a little bit the speed with which he would have done it or the way in which he would have solved it. I am always one to talk to my children and tell them everything. And I think they have the personality that they have because I always spoke. When we moved, we all sat down, discussed, and saw what each other thought. And this was kind of hard because they were asking me questions and I didn’t have the answers. But I also had to tell them because it was something that was being talked regarding everywhere.”
Finally, Wanda was very grateful for the love received. “Many communicated privately, the channel was excellent with me. And I also had to think… I was on my feet for many hours, working. And she said: ‘I spent 14 or 12 hours in the best way!’ She sometimes felt sick to her belly, but I thought it was because she was eating secretly from the chefs when the meals were brought out. I thought that was why. Damián (Betular), Germán (Martitegui) and Donato (De Santis) brought food to the canal all the time. But that’s how it is. That’s life. And I would like, later on, to be able to talk and, perhaps, help someone who needs it or who has the doubts or fears that I went through and that I still have ”, she concluded. And, at the end of the talk, she confirmed that she will continue her treatment in Fundaleu, in Argentina.
