Washington The US Presidential Candidate Ron DeSantis poses in view of the large lead of its competitor Donald Trump in polls for the primaries of the republican his election campaign on new feet. Florida Gov. fired his campaign manager Generra Peck on Tuesday and replaced her with close adviser James Uthmeier. However, Peck remains with the team as chief strategist. DeSantis had already fired almost 40 members of his team in July.

DeSantis is in the running for the opposition presidential nominee republican on second place. His popularity ratings in polls have been plummeting for months. In the most recent Archyde.com/Ipsos poll, his nationwide support stood at just 13 percent, far behind ex-President Trump’s 47 percent.

Even members of the campaign team, who wish to remain anonymous, have criticized the campaign for being disoriented and without a clear vision. A prominent contributor to the Republican cause, Dan Eberhart, called the restructuring of the campaign team half-hearted. Peck and Uthmeier would merely switch from one position on the campaign team to another. “Governor DeSantis needs to change the dynamic,” Eberhart urged.

DeSantis faces a pivotal moment in his campaign on August 23 in Milwaukee at the first public meeting of the Republican presidential nominees. However, Trump will not offer him a target for attack in the television debate because the ex-president does not want to take part in this Republican meeting. This increases the risk that DeSantis might attract criticism from other applicants.
