The Road to the 2024 Stanley Cup: NHL Global Series, Preseason Games, and Regular Season Schedule

The road to the 2024 Stanley Cup will begin with a historic two-game series across the Pacific Ocean, when the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings meet in Australia for of the 2023 NHL Global Series in Melbourne. These two games between the Coyotes and the Kings – the first in history in the southern hemisphere – will be played on Saturday September 23 and Sunday September 24 at Rod Laver Arena.

Both games in Melbourne, which is 14 hours ahead of the Eastern time zone, will be played at 2 p.m. local time, which means midnight Eastern time.

Two preparatory meetings will celebrate the winning communities of the Kraft Hockeyville 2022 (Sydney, Nova Scotia) and 2023 (West Lorne, Ontario) contests. The Buffalo Sabers and Toronto Maple Leafs will face off on Wednesday, September 27 at the Joe Thornton Community Center in St. Thomas, Ont., while the Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators will meet on Sunday. October 1 at Center 2000 in Sydney.

Games in neutral territory will also be played in Abbotsford, British Columbia (Seattle vs Vancouver, October 4), Cedar Park, Texas (Arizona vs Dallas, September 24), Halifax, Nova Scotia (Ottawa vs Pittsburgh , Oct. 2), Independence, Missouri (Dallas vs. St. Louis, Sept. 30), Orlando, Fla. (Florida vs. Tampa Bay, Oct. 3), Palm Desert, Calif. (Anaheim vs. Los Angeles, Oct. 1 ), Salt Lake City, Utah (Los Angeles vs. San Jose, Oct. 5), San Diego, Calif. (Anaheim vs. Los Angeles, Sept. 29), Tucson, Arizona (Anaheim vs. Arizona, Oct. 7), and in Wichita, Kansas (Arizona vs. St. Louis, Sept. 23).

Following an eight-game day to wrap up the preseason on Saturday, October 7, the 2023-24 regular season kicks off on Tuesday, October 10.
