Energy cost flat rate brings relief for small businesses | FFG

The application phase for the energy cost allowance starts today. Submission is now possible online.

Vienna (OTS) The federal government’s flat-rate energy cost allowance helps micro and small companies to cope with the high energy costs. The flat-rate subsidy is calculated automatically and can amount to up to 2,475 euros. Micro and small companies with a minimum annual turnover of 10,000 euros and a maximum annual turnover of 400,000 euros are funded. The energy cost flat rate is handled by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG. Applications can be submitted online from August 8 to November 30, 2023 via www.energiekostenpauschale.at be asked.

The energy cost allowance for micro and small companies can be applied for retrospectively for the year 2022. No documents, receipts, proof of energy intensity or tax documents are required. The respective subsidy amount is calculated on the basis of an energy calculation key from the Energy Agency and Statistics Austria according to industry affiliation and turnover. Applicants will immediately receive information regarding the calculated funding when they apply, which will be paid out within a few days. A mobile phone signature and access to the company service portal (USP) are required for the application.
