A rent of more than $2,000 a month doesn’t always mean cleanliness, as an American influencer who was totally disgusted by the state of her building found.
Lexie Firment pays 2000 US$ per month (2675 Canadian dollars) to live in her “luxurious” accommodation in South Carolina.
In a recent video posted on TikTok, the American shows her followers the sorry state of the surroundings of her building’s swimming pool.
“There are cigarettes all over the floor […] there is toilet paper all over the place, there are also cans of beer lying around not put in the trash, ”she says from the outset.
“There are literally feces [dans la piscine] […] even around the path to the pool it is absolutely disgusting.”
The latter does not necessarily criticize the tenants of the building for the waste.
She puts the blame on the maintenance crews who, according to her, are slow to do their work.
“The bins have not been emptied for weeks,” she laments.
The woman who even claims that excrement litters the floor of the swimming pool cannot believe that she has to pay such an amount to stay in the building, in addition to juggling the rent increases.
In the comments section of the extract, which garnered more than 350,000 views, the reactions of indignant Internet users multiplied.
“Sorry to see residents and their guests not picking up their trash. However, I think that the maintenance teams must catch up,” said one user.
“You have to call the owners and denounce the work of these maintenance teams,” adds another Internet user.
