For motorists regularly using the level crossing located rue de l’Eglise in the municipality of Welkenraedt, access will be restricted. The level crossing will be closed to road traffic from Monday August 14 to Friday August 18 inclusive, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., informs Infrabel.
The Belgian railway infrastructure manager should carry out the maintenance of the infrastructure. “These works are necessary to guarantee the safety of train traffic and road users”, he points out.
A diversion will be put in place “via Boulevard Hector Grosjean and Rue de Baelen”, indicates the municipality.
Note that pedestrians and cyclists will be allowed to cross the level crossing “in compliance with the rules defined on site”, adds Infrabel.
