Jadlog consolidates 900 Pickup points for collection and delivery of e-commerce orders in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo alone
Jadlog, one of the largest transport companies for fractional loads in Brazil and one of the main logistics operators in electronic commerce, has consolidated the largest network of pick-up and delivery locations for packages in the Pickup modality, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, with more than 900 partner points of sale in the neighborhood in operation. This capillarity is three times greater than that of Correios, which has around 300 branches in the same region.

At the 900 partner commercial points in São Paulo, also known as Jadlog Pickup points, online retail buyers and marketplace sellers are able to pick up and post products purchased or sold over the internet, whether at Jadlog franchises, cafes, electronics accessories, flower shops and markets, among other establishments located close to the consumer’s home or workplace.

Jadlog Model Pickup Pickup Points –
“Pickup’s operating model is gaining more and more relevance in e-commerce logistics due to the wide availability of pick-up locations and order postings. They are easily accessible neighborhood establishments due to their capillarity and flexibility of hours”, explains the director of OOH Solutions (Out Of Home, outside the home in the Portuguese translation) of Jadlog, Diogo Inoue.
The success of the model is attested throughout Brazil, where Jadlog’s Pickup network has more than 4,000 partner commercial points, strategically located in Brazilian cities. The expectation is that, in less than five years, this type of solution will represent around 20% of all e-commerce receipts in Brazil, a percentage already reached in markets considered more mature, such as the United States and Europe.
Pickup, Jadlog’s OOH (Out of Home) solution, is an alternative to standard delivery modes and alleviates the current high demand for last mile deliveries. Online stores can drop off orders at convenient and secure locations chosen by customers to pick up purchases, reducing delivery failures as many people cannot receive products at home.
The network of 900 points in the metropolitan region of São Paulo adds flexibility and convenience to deliveries, benefiting e-commerce sellers and buyers, as logistical costs are up to 20% lower when compared to door-to-door deliveries. In this way, shippers can subsidize free shipping more easily, gaining competitiveness and more sales conversions in their online store.

“The Pickup network plays a very important role in leveraging e-commerce, considering that consumers demand more delivery options and lower freight prices to complete their orders and not abandon online shopping carts”, says Diogo Inoue .
Relevance to Reverse Logistics and Sustainability
The chain even manages to offer a good policy of product returns and exchanges. Reverse logistics is another relevant point in the purchase decision, so Jadlog Pickup is highly qualified to meet this demand, through the drop off postage functionality. In this functionality, it brings the buyer closer to the postage location, reduces the cost of shipping and speeds up service, with fewer queues than in a traditional postal service.
Additionally, the Pickup network transfers sustainability to logistics, since, by consolidating deliveries and collections, it promotes a reduction in the number of vehicles circulating in large urban centers. A smaller number of vehicles and fewer stops per vehicle represent improvements in traffic, reductions in CO2 emissions and noise pollution.
Even the shopkeepers who own the 900 partner points of the Pickup network in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region benefit, as picking up and sending orders attracts more people to the establishments, and there is a consequent increase in sales of the stores’ original items. This moves the economy in the neighborhood, generates more jobs and ensures the maintenance of local trade.
Jadlog pioneered the implementation of the model on a large scale in Brazil, in 2018, importing the solution from its parent company, Geopost, which already has this model consolidated in Europe.
