PARIS.- Security forces found a 53-year-old woman kidnapped since 2011 and probably tortured in north-western France, and her 55-year-old husband arrestedindicated a police source.
The woman was in a room in an apartment in Forbach, in Moselle, with a shaved head, malnourished and with fractures in both legs and fingersspecified the source that confirmed an information from RMC radio.
According to a judicial source, it was the woman managed to reach the German emergency services by phone last nightwho immediately contacted their French counterparts.
Also alerted by the neighbors, the French police carried out the first verifications. Then, at 6:00, an operation was carried out at the suspect’s house. After refusing to open, the authorities forced the door open and they arrested the man without issue.
Initially, it was reported that the agents had found a “diary” in which the man “would have noted down his events and the moments in which he fed the victim” and a torture bed. However, a judicial source later denied that this was true.
The 55-year-old man was taken into custody and an investigation was opened for kidnapping, aggravated rape with aggravating circumstances for being a spouse, act of torture and barbarity.
