Sometimes perceived as the rebel of watchmaking, the Frederique Constant brand is above all a story of the heart. They are not legion, the watchmaking houses founded by a couple. The one who acts as a young girl in the middle of the centenarians who surround her was born in 1988, under the impetus of Aletta and Peter Stas… two Dutch people.
Lovers of stays in Switzerland, they regret that the well-finished timepieces are very expensive (legend has it that the Batavians are very close to their pennies) and that the less expensive versions have random finishes. They then decide to found their own brand, of quality and accessible. A creed that still remains the common thread of Frederique Constant, whose name is a combination of the first names of Aletta’s grandmother and Peter’s grandfather.
