“The former presbytery, emblematic building of the city of Libramont, will soon find new life thanks to an ambitious project”announces the Municipality of Libramont-Chevigny, accompanied by Idélux Public Projects, in a press release.
The Municipality and Idélux are actively looking for a Horeca operator to give new life to this building “laden with history by carrying out renovation work and developing a quality catering activity there, thus contributing to strengthening the liveliness of the heart of the city”.
This project is part of the overall approach to creating a brand new center in Libramont near the town hall and the train station. The Commune is thus carrying out a development project for a real urban centrality, near the town hall, which will involve the creation of a central square, the development of a green space, a hall for various activities, games for children, …. A first stage of this project has also been selected within the framework of the European ERDF program 2021 – 2027 and will allow the Municipality to move forward without further delay in its realization.
The Municipality of Libramont-Chevigny wishes to entrust this building to a professional private operator who will be able to invest in its renovation, offer an original and qualitative culinary offer, and ensure its sustainable use. “ This building, in good structural condition, requires renovation work in order to adapt it to the planned future activity, further notes the Commune. In order to support the launch of the project, on the basis of the details of the investment items presented by the tenderer in its business plan, the Municipality undertakes to participate in the financing of the works up to a maximum of €300,000, in priority to bring the building up to standard. The provision of this building known to all Libramontois will be made under a works concession for a basic period estimated at 15 years.
Those interested in this project must submit their offer no later than November 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. In order for the offer to be accepted, a site visit is mandatory.
