On August 7th, 1992, a small piece of basketball history was written. Center Shaquille O’Neal, the top draft pick of the year, has signed with the Orlando Magic.
As several media reported unanimously, this was endowed with 40 million US dollars and had a term of six years. It was a record deal for a rookie.
Side note: Shaquille O’Neal played for the Orlando Magic from 1992 to 1996.
