A collection of old Jaguars was recently found. The future owner will probably have to carry out a restoration.
A superb car collectionwhich includes three 1970 Jaguar E-Types, was discovered in a barn in the United Kingdom. According to The Sun, the vehicles had been abandoned for nearly 50 years. Suffice to say that they were far from being in perfect condition when they were found.
This collection obviously did not interest anyone for long decades. However, today, experts estimate that it might be worth more than 230,000 euros in total. Before selling them, their owner will have to seriously think regarding restoring them from top to bottom. Some copies have, unfortunately, aged very badly.
Old Jaguar E-Types found following decades of abandonment
Despite the apparent poor condition of these old Jaguars, an auction company, Anglia Car Auctions, hopes to make a profit from them. According to its experts, together they might reach several hundred thousand euros if they were to be sold. If these cars had been kept new, they might have reached the impressive sum of 930,000 euros.
But, what models are these? The discontinued collection in question is made up of three Jaguar E-Type, including two roadster models and an S2 FHC. Other lesser-known models have also been discovered. This is the case of a AC Aceca from 1955 and a AC Ace Bristol from 1957. A AC Ace 1959 and a 1951 Land Rover Series I are among the finds.

According to the auction company that picked up these cars, pull them out of their barn was no small feat. “The cars have been there since the 1970s and it took us two days to carefully extract them using a forklift and a backhoe”.
Jaguar E-Types are not the only jewels in this collection. “One of the AC Ace Bristols belonged to Betty Haig, one of the leading racing drivers of the 1960s”, says the auction house. This new discovery will thus make happy among the english car collectors.
