It is a new kind of sapphire crystal watch. When the temperature rises… it’s time to soak up the summer spirit of ArtyA’s AquaSaphir sapphire crystal watch collection.
ArtyA was among the very first brands, in 2013, to develop sapphire crystal watches. In more than 10 years – the brand has acquired unique expertise and know-how, particularly in the development of sapphire crystal cases, and the mastery of colored sapphire crystal.
With its 6 Atm water resistance, the AquaSaphir is the first sapphire crystal water watch on the market, capable of withstanding pressure and going down to 60 meters. How ? It is the first watch to have been ingeniously designed without any steel elements in the sapphire crystal. No visible screws for example, no casing, no de facto element hinders the transparency of the watch. A complex, but daring choice, allowing an unparalleled aesthetic. And the case is naturally scratch-resistant thanks to the remarkable hardness of sapphire – 9 on the Mohs scale, the hardest mineral, following diamond and moissanite.

In order to affirm the summer color of the model, the bezel was made of NanoSapphire Cyan which gives it a colored, turquoise transparency, accentuating the diving vocation of the watch. In its centre, entirely hand-made by Swiss master enamellers, the enamel dial offers a magnificent gradation of blues, intense on the upper part, which lightens towards the white of the lower part as it comes close, giving the watch an effect of infinite depth. Its visually powerful color further reinforces the aquatic character of the watch, and marvelously matches the transparency of its sapphire crystal.

A second version of the AquaSaphir features a dial made with a Gibeon meteorite, discovered in Namibia. Featuring characteristic patterns, called “Widmanstätten”, which are formed by the crystalline structure of the metal as it slowly cools over millions of years in space, the organic look of this natural, timeless dial, offers a completely singular and unique character to an aquatic watch like the AquaSaphir.

Inside, beats the mechanical movement with automatic winding, 3 hands with date – exclusive ArtyOn and made in Switzerland – which benefits from a range of particularly neat finishes such as the presence of pink gold, the NAC which darkens the gray steel as well as the traditional Côtes de Genève, the whole offering a superb enhancement of the architecture of the movement, its volumes, its play with light whose reflections and shadows magnify the beautiful mechanism whose precision is certified by the COSC, prestigious Swiss chronometric certification.
