If you are one of the team of users who still sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod using Mac/PC, you may face a problem called error “-54”.

More precisely, the following message may be displayed: “iPhone [nome do dispositivo] cannot be synchronized. An unknown error occurred (-54)”.

According to Apple, this can happen if a file on your computer or iPhone/iPad/iPod is locked. Click “OK” to proceed with the synchronization.

However, if you are still facing these problems, we will show you some tips that may help in solving them. Check out! ????

Restart your Mac or PC, then your device (iPhone, iPad or iPod). If you’re using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or a Windows PC, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. Try unifying the files in the same library. To do this, open iTunes on your PC or Mac, go to Archive » Library » Organize Library… and select “Consolidate Files”. Make sure your Windows PC security software is not interfering with this process. Synchronize the content little by little in order to check if the problem is with any of them in particular. If the issue is with the iTunes Store, delete the apps and download them once more. Repeat the process for the songs. If the content is not from the iTunes Store, delete it and download it once more. Some problem with PDF files saved in Books app on iPhone/iPad/iPod touch can also cause this. To resolve this, use “Share” in Books to email the document in question to yourself so you don’t lose it. Then, remove it from the device and download it later.

Did that fix it for you? ????
