A homeless man, born in 1950, suspected of the murder of his hostess was finally released and completely cleared. The septuagenarian is regularly lodged with a lady born in 1962 who lives in the center of Liège. This sixty-something woman has been offering him board and lodging for some time now.

On Thursday August 3, the homeless went to their usual hostess in Liège. It was there that he discovered the lifeless body of the occupant of the premises. For some unknown reason, the SDF did not call the emergency services directly. He called them 24 hours later, Friday evening, when he was certain that the lady had died.

This attitude which clearly did not play in favor of the SDF. It was enough for the homeless man to be suspected of the murder of the sexagenarian. He was arrested and heard at length by the Liège bloodhounds. The prosecution was notified and this suspicious death was, for the purposes of the investigation, entrusted to an investigating judge from Liège.

A medical examiner was called to the scene to determine the cause of death, but it was not easy to find. An autopsy was then required and seals were placed on the door of the deceased’s home. The autopsy of the sexagenarian was carried out at the Forensic Institute of rue Dos Fanchon in Outremeuse. After further examination, the medical examiner concluded that it was a natural death. Indeed, no trace of intervention by a third party was revealed during the autopsy.

The homeless man was released on Saturday followingnoon following a 20-hour deprivation of liberty and a night in a cell.
