This marks the end of the decade-long era of periodic TV presence by one of the most present presenters in domestic TV history, as the “Kronenzeitung” reported on Sunday. For the ORF, however, further collaborations with Russwurm, for example in the form of “TV specials”, are conceivable, according to a statement by the ORF.
A newly developed info magazine is planned for the “Vera” slot on Friday at 9:20 p.m. on ORF 2. Russwurm, who was discovered in 1978 and was subsequently able to quickly establish itself on television, which was heavily dominated by men at the time, “defined and shaped the genre of TV talk in Austria, her name became a brand. I would like to thank you for the decades of cooperation in this area,” says ORF Director General Roland Weißmann.
In the media report, the 63-year-old presenter explained that she was happy “that my audience has been loyal to me for so long. That is not to be taken for granted! And I am grateful that I have had life-affirming, positive might make programs with his own handwriting.”
