Taliban’s Controversial Ban on Girls’ Education Sparks Outrage in Afghanistan

Kabul: It is reported that the Taliban has banned girls over the age of ten from going to school in some provinces of Afghanistan.

The news agency reported that the Taliban Ministry of Education has instructed school authorities not to teach girls over the age of ten in Ghazi province.

Earlier, the Taliban had issued an order banning girls from studying in schools. Women are also prohibited from working in private institutions including agencies. The Taliban also ordered the closure of women’s beauty parlors.
