The ticket dispute regarding the “Alma” performances in the Südbahnhotel am Semmering seems to have been settled. Hermann Doppelreiter (ÖVP), mayor of the municipality on the Lower Austrian-Styrian border, mediated, the Südbahnhotel Kultur GmbH announced on its website. The local chief confirmed this at the request of the APA.

Doppelreiter referred to meetings and an e-mail that he sent out and in which he also “worded it a little more sharply”. On Saturday evening he was there until well following the start of the performance of “Alma”. It was possible “that both security groups withdraw” (that of Südbahnhotel Kultur GmbH as well as that of director Paulus Manker, note). The police were “in presence”.

The mayor spoke of having had a de-escalating effect. Manker accepted to let in the ten people who bought their tickets from Südbahnhotel Kultur. He now hopes that the remaining five “Alma” performances can go smoothly, so Doppelreiter, who wants to be back on the spot on (today’s) Sunday.

“An agreement was reached” that ten visitors who bought their tickets at Südbahnhotel Kultur would be admitted. “As a co-organizer, we were also promised unhindered access to the Südbahnhotel,” the website continued. “Alma” can therefore take place as usual, “which makes us happy in the interest of all visitors”.
