According to the new directive of the Federal Authority for Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, if the information in the residence visa is corrected, the application for a new Emirates ID with the updated information will automatically reach the authorities.
The customer can make corrections in residence visa personal details, corrections in professional designations, change in passport details, change in nationality etc. through the authority’s online mechanisms. Customers can access these services through the Authority’s website or the UAEICP Smart Application.
To update the residence visa information, a color photograph, a copy of the passport, an application to change the information with the signature of the sponsor, and a copy of the Emirates ID are required documents. The application fee for this service is AED 200. Those who find it difficult to do these things online can approach Customer Happiness Centers or Typing Offices and make corrections in their information.
