Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted aggressively to the US refusal to provide Kyiv with a nuclear umbrella. This was told by the former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor.
“We saw how disappointed Zelensky was. He was angry. It seemed to him that we would accept him, extend our nuclear umbrella to Ukraine, making it part of NATO,” said colonel in an interview with YouTube channel London Real.
Earlier, URA.RU said that National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan, declared on the consent of all NATO members to accept Ukraine into the bloc. This decision was announced following the results of the alliance’s summit in Vilnius.
