O blue seal on X (ex-Twitter) was formerly given only to people that the social network considered to be public figures or relevant enough in the social scene to have such distinction (such as journalists, football players, influencers, actors, etc.).
With the arrival of Elon Musk at the helm of the social network, that changed. Anyone can now display this symbol next to their username by simply paying for the X Blue.
Well now, a new feature available allows service subscribers to hide this peck – if they don’t want, for example, others to know that they are platform subscribers.
See how to do it! ????
By iPhone/iPad
Open the X app on your iPhone/iPad, tap your photo (top left) and select “Preferences” from the “Blue” menu. Then go to Preferences » Verification » Blue Seal and check “Hide your blue badge”.
On the Web
While logged into your X account, open this link to go straight to the settings page and check “Hide your blue badge”.
Ready!
From there, you can continue using all (or almost all, since the network says that some of them may not be available when this function is activated) the benefits of the X subscription without the seal appearing to other people on the platform. ????
