The 66th Edition of the Know India Program: Explore Kerala with Indian Expatriate Youth and Students

The 66th edition of the Ministry of External Affairs’ Know India Program (KIP) will begin on August 7. As part of the programme, Indian expatriate youth and students from foreign countries will visit Kerala from August 7 to 13. The visit program has been planned under the leadership of Norka Roots on behalf of the state government. The team will arrive at Kochi airport on the evening of August 6 and will visit Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam and Alappuzha districts from seven.

Around 60 young women and men from various countries such as Fiji, Guyana, Malaysia, France, Israel, South Africa, Jamaica, Kenya, Mauritius, Myanmar, New Zealand, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Zimbabwe, Belgium and New Zealand are coming to Kerala. Representatives of Union Ministry of External Affairs, State Government and NORCA ROOTS will accompany the Yatra.

The No India Program is a three-week orientation program for non-resident youth and students of Indian origin. Its program starts in Kerala. The Yatra is organized with the aim of promoting awareness regarding the various facets of life in India and the progress the country has made in various fields. The expatriate youth will get to know first-hand the progress made by the country in the fields of economy, industry, education, science & technology, communication and information technology.

The program will provide an opportunity for students and young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, hopes and experiences and develop a closer relationship with contemporary India. Cochin Shipyard, Water Metro, Muziris areas, Kalamandalam, Kumarakam Bird Sanctuary and other places of socio-political importance are included in the visit. Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth University is organizing an Onam celebration program for the traveling group. After enjoying the Nehru Trophy Valalam game at Alappuzha on the 12th, the team will return to Delhi from Kochi Airport on the 13th in the evening.
