After the last passage of a train in the direction of Ghent-Antwerp, this Thursday evening, Infrabel cut off the electricity on the tracks, allowing the TRBA and Dufour teams to work comfortably.
The second part of the footbridge was already in the air in order to save time during the starting signal given by the railway network manager. 70 tons raised like a feather!

It was at 11:05 p.m. that the platforms were plunged into darkness and, at 11:30 p.m., the aerial ballet of the second element to form the air corridor was already in place.

For the occasion, Mayor Brigitte Aubert and her Alderman for Works, Marie-Hélène Vanelstraete, came to the site to assess progress.

In addition to the last part laid in the next few hours, it will then be necessary to build the two junctions between the 3 rooms – nicely called “chapels” in technical jargon – as well as public access on either side in order to bring a little closer once more the Hurlus of the Cleugnottes…
