The presumed murderer of his 3-year-old son, whom he allegedly beat to the last breath, was finally apprehended by the forces of the central police station in Thiès. The facts took place on Tuesday August 02, 2023 in the Médina Fall district of Thiès, opposite the CEM, in the Thiès-Nord commune.
Shocked by this heinous and criminal act, the mother of the deceased did not hesitate to demand that justice be done, in order to pay tribute to the memory of her son whom she had lost sight of for three weeks. She reveals that she had 3-year-old twins, A. Guèye and K. Guèye, with her husband, and says that she lived with him for three and a half years before leaving the marital home due to repeated acts of violence. , to settle with his parents, in Medina Fall (Ténou Mame Diarra).

D. Guèye, the uncle of the deceased child, relates: “We were informed of the facts by a doctor on duty at the Saint Jean-De-Dieu hospital. He made it clear to us that the child had died long before he arrived at the hospital, and that officials at the health facility had notified the police. Therefore, the father of the victim was suspected, in particular because of his habits of violence towards his children, marked by an indescribable hatred”.
“To our surprise, we learned that the child’s father had been admitted to Dalal Khel Psychiatric Hospital for examinations on one occasion,” he adds. Nevertheless, D. Guèye asserts categorically: “We know him well and are convinced that he is not ill and that he is of sound mind”. He asks for justice to be done.
