The largest cancer research institute in the USA, City of Hope, has published study results on an anti-cancer pill. The miracle drug AOH1996 is said to destroy 70 types of cancer. May this be good news for those suffering from cancer. Especially since this disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide.

The drug was first administered to a patient in 2022. AOH1996 prevents PCNA from multiplying in the body. This protein is responsible for the growth and repair of tumor cells. The positive thing regarding the drug: It is not dangerous for healthy cells.

Linda Malkas explains the anti-cancer pill as a kind of “snowstorm” that shuts down air traffic for all planes. In their comparison, the airplanes are cancer cells. Malkas is a researcher and professor in the Department of Molecular Diagnostics and Experimental Therapeutics at the City of Hope. She also said in the press release that many other forms of therapy mutate the cancer and it eventually becomes resistant.

Cancer patients might gain hope thanks to the results of the study. In the laboratory, AOH1996 was tested on over 70 types of cancer and resulted in the killing of diseased cells. The drug is said to be effective in the treatment of breast, prostate, brain, ovarian, cervical and lung cancer.

The German doctor Christoph Specht is also positive regarding the AOH1996 pill, he says in an interview with RTL. The difficulty with a cancer drug is that the healthy cells are not attacked when treating cancer cells. However, the successes of the experiments on cell and animal models speak in favor of the drug, according to the doctor. The next step is to test the remedy on humans.
