The resignations in the Ministry of Culture (Mincul) continue in less than a month following announcing the departure of Diana Guerra Chirinos and Diana Álvarez in the General Directorate of Cultural Industries and Arts and in the Directorate of the Sectoral Program IV of the General Directorate of Citizenship cross-cultural, respectively.
Carlos Roldán Del Águila Chávez, who was in charge of the General Directorate of Museums in the sector, has added to this decision. Through an official letter, he informs Minister Leslie Urteaga that she will step aside.

As recalled, these resignations have been known following the questioned meeting that the Vice Minister of Interculturality, Juan Reátegui Silva, had with the extremist group ‘La Resistencia’. Given this, it also cost him his departure from office.

Among those mentioned, he indicated that they are the National Museum of Peru – MUNA, from where he affirmed that an implementation of 70% of the “specialized furniture” has been achieved and the donation of 18 thousand books was achieved. “Another flagship project, such as the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History-MNAAHP, hopes to achieve similar or greater progress,” he reads.
The resignations were announced following the photographs of ‘La Resistencia’ were made public together with the representatives of the Ministry of Culture. The owner was aware of this meeting, as stated by the first official to resign.
