It brings to 434 the number of A321neo, the largest version of the manufacturer’s star single-aisle aircraft, ordered by Wizz Air, Airbus said in a press release. Wizz Air’s A321neos are equipped with a single-class configuration and some 240 seats, guaranteeing reduced operating costs.
The CEO of the company Jozsef Varadi, quoted in the press release, praised “the economic efficiency without comparison” and the “remarkably low carbon footprint” of these devices.
Rivale de Ryanair
Wizz Air currently operates 180 Airbus A320 family aircraft, “more than half” of which are in the neo re-engined version, which is more economical than the previous generation.
