The Cointe tunnel will be closed in both directions for seven nights in August, Sofico announced in a press release on Wednesday morning. These closures are planned as part of the rehabilitation of the tunnel.
The closure of the E25-E40/A602 link will be necessary in August, as part of the rehabilitation of the Cointe tunnel. For seven nights, in both directions of traffic, the link will be closed to traffic between the 38 Grosses-Battes/Angleur/Belle-Ile interchange and the 35 Avroy/Laveu interchange.
The operations will mainly consist of working in the stale air galleries of the Cointe tunnel, which requires the interruption of traffic in both directions. This closure of the link will be used to carry out other interventions in the other tunnels.
During these nights, the link will be closed to traffic from 9.45 p.m. to 6 a.m.: from Thursday August 3 to Friday August 4, from Monday August 7 to Tuesday August 8, from Tuesday August 8 to Wednesday August 9, from Wednesday August 9 to Thursday August 10 August, from Thursday August 10 to Friday August 11, from Wednesday August 16 to Thursday August 17, and from Thursday August 17 to Friday August 18.
The usual diversions will be in place via the A604 and via the S1 and S20 routes.
