Small dynamic village located in the heart of the entity of Somme-Leuze, in the Namurois, Baillonville welcomes this Sunday a walk which promises to be varied and lively. ” Organized by the ‘Le Petit Baillonville’ committee, it offers four distances (5, 10, 15 and 20 km) “, explains Michelle Piret. The village of Baillonville, which results from the meeting of Rabozée and Baillonville, is well known to historians thanks to its castle, which was the property of the Waha family, as can be read on the site of the commune of Somme- Leuze. The castle was sold during the French Revolution to a merchant and one of its last owners was the bishopric of Liège. The castle of Baillonville as well as the church of Saint-Hubert have heritage qualities which have allowed them to be included in the inventory of monuments and classified sites. Note that the following weekend, Baillonville will host a fair including an 80s-90s evening on Friday evening, the first Baillonville jog on Saturday (10 km) as well as a vacuum-dressing on Sunday, from 9 to 17 hours.
Meeting place : Le Petit Baillonville, rue du Centre, 1a, 5377 Baillonville (Somme-Leuze).
