Yesterday, Forbes Middle East revealed its annual list of the 100 most powerful Arab family companies for the year 2023, which included eight Qatari companies, to shed light on the most important long-established family companies in the Middle East region, which have succeeded in continuing through generations, and established their mark in the stock markets in the region.
The research team at Forbes Middle East evaluated each family business, according to a set of criteria that included: size of assets, subsidiaries, business performance over the past year, history and legacy represented by the company, as well as diversification of activities in terms of sectors and geographic expansion.
More than 60% of the family companies classified in the list are major shareholders in companies listed on the Arab financial markets, many of which were founded.
The list highlighted the largest, most valuable and profitable family businesses in Qatar, which were ranked as follows:

Al Faisal Holding
