Shanghai (ots/PRNewswire) – Shanghai Electric (SEHK: 2727, SSE: 601727) CEO Ms. Leng Weiqing recently visited Germany to hold talks with Christian Bruch, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer of Siemens Energy AG on July 25-27 . This aims to further deepen industrial partnership and joint innovation, and promote the transformation and development of low-carbon and high-quality energy. The meeting came four months following Christian Bruch, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer of Siemens Energy, visited Shanghai Electric’s headquarters.
During the meeting, the development strategy and the structure of Siemens Energy were succinctly presented by Mr. Bruch. He honored the position of Siemens Energy as the world’s leading energy technology company and renowned supplier. Mr. Bruch highlighted and referenced Siemens Energy’s position as a world leader in energy technology and a renowned equipment supplier
on the company’s innovative core technologies, including water electrolysis for hydrogen production, smart grids and offshore booster stations. As part of the global trend towards low-carbon development, the energy sector holds significant potential. Siemens was very optimistic and emphasized the importance of the Chinese dual carbon market. As strategic partners, Shanghai Electric and Siemens want to seize the opportunities of cooperation and change, and together look for new ways for practical cooperation in various fields. The aim is to promote the promotion of an environmentally friendly and low-carbon energy transition and thus demonstrate their commitment to a sustainable future.

During the visit to Germany, Ms. Leng Weiqing and her delegation toured a transformer factory, a PEM hydrogen production factory, a gas turbine factory and an innovation center of Siemens Energy. They had more friendly talks with Karim Amin, Executive Vice President and Member of Siemens Energy Executive Committee, and gained valuable insights into the development of Siemens energy industry, R&D capabilities, and effective production organization and management models of Siemens.
