Negotiations with Daniel Kretinsky were confirmed in March. If the operation comes to an end, at the latest in the first quarter of 2024, one of the businessman’s companies will take control of the historic branch – which will keep the name of Atos -, made up of some 52 000 employees worldwide.

It will also invest 217.5 million euros to enter the capital of Eviden, thanks to a recapitalization operation.

An ubiquitous investor

The Czech billionaire also wants to include in the operation the company Fimalac of the French businessman Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, with which he is already associated in the rescue of Casino.

Daniel Kretinsky, 48, burst onto the French market in 2018, following having built his fortune (8.5 billion euros currently according to Forbes) on fossil fuels. Since then, he has invested in the media (The world, Marianne, Elle, TV 7 days, MaverickTF1, etc.), distribution (Fnac Darty and Casino) and industry (mainly in energy).

It is also in the process of buying publishing house Editis from media giant Vivendi.
