According to the Berlin manufacturer AVM, the new Fritz!Fon X6 is now commercially available. The price is 99 euros and the home phone is available in black and white. One of the new features is a favorites button on the side of the device. You can use it to access the most important menu for you – for example the smart home or your personal phone book.
The Fritz!Fon X6 has a 2.4-inch color display that is supposed to be easy to read. As far as phone calls are concerned, full duplex HD is promised, even with the integrated hands-free function. Convenience functions such as an answering machine, telephone books and call blocks are of course also available. It offers e.g. B. also the option to announce callers and calendar entries, to use a baby monitor, a start display with weather forecast or an alarm clock.
The Fritz!Fon X6 can offer guests a QR code for the Wi-Fi network and quickly switch your Wi-Fi connection on and off with the push of a button. In addition, users can control their smart home devices such as lamps or sockets via the phone. Regular Fritz!OS updates should expand the range of functions in the future.
The DECT telephone shows you information such as upcoming appointments or the weather forecast on the color display. With the touch of a button, users can access call logs and answering machine messages on the display. The phone has built-in sensors that wake it up automatically when picked up and turn off the display and keyboard backlight when put to your ear.
The phone can also receive live images from a video intercom. The integrated media player enables music or photos stored on the Fritz!Box or other media servers to be played back – if desired, also via Smart TV or a WLAN speaker. In conjunction with a Fritz!Box, the DECT telephone offers up to five digital answering machines, a call list, telephone books with online contacts, blacklists for unwanted callers and much more.
