Although their contents vary from person to person, sandwiches remain very popular in North America.
According to a recent study, 67% of Americans say they might live a full week eating only sandwiches. In fact, an average American would eat a sandwich four times a week.
A OnePoll survey conducted for the food company Budding looked at the tastes of U.S. residents to determine which ingredients would go into the “perfect sandwich.”
According to this study, the ultimate sandwich would therefore consist of whole wheat bread, black forest ham, cheddar cheese, tomato and ketchup. The dish would also be baked.

– 29% of people prefer a minimalist sandwich with simple ingredients
– 27% like a sandwich with strong flavors more
– 15% prefer a sweet sandwich
– 59% of people surveyed believe that the best time to eat a sandwich is outside of dinner time
– 38% agree that the best place to enjoy a sandwich is on the beach. 36% think it’s at home, while 36% prefer to eat it at the park
