Saudi defender Mohamed Lagami scored an own goal in the 65th minute, but Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo managed to lead his team to a 4-1 victory over the Tunisian Monastir Union in the match that took place between them on Monday in the second round of Group C competitions in the Arab Football Clubs Championship.

The victory raised Al-Nasr’s tally to four points from two matches, to be equal with the Saudi youth, who beat Egypt’s Zamalek 1-0 earlier. Zamalek has three points in third place.

Anderson Talisca scored the lead goal three minutes before the end of the first half, following a cross pass from inside the penalty area.

But Lagami equalized for Monastiri by mistake, with a header that strangely hit his team’s net, before Ronaldo appeared on the scene and gave the victory the lead in the 74th minute, following a cross pass from the right, to be settled in the net with a wonderful header.

Defender Abd Al-Ilah Al-Omari scored the third goal, following a header from Ronaldo, which hit the net with a powerful shot in the 88th minute.

But Abdel Aziz Al-Alewa was able to consolidate the result by scoring the fourth goal for Al-Nassr in the last minute of normal time for the match that was held at King Fahd Sports City Stadium, following a wonderful pass from Talisca, to be filled into the net, concluding Al-Nassr’s victory at the expense of Monastiri.
