According to Axios author Steven Totilo, Ubisoft canceled the sequel Immortals Fenyx Rising in favor of Assassin’s Creed Red, which became a priority project for the company. The second part of Immortals was supposed to tell regarding the Polynesian gods, and the development unfolded without any problems. But due to the new part of Assassin’s Creed, the production of the game was canceled. Ubisoft has previously stated that the authors of Immortals will work on a number of other projects in the studio, but it is assumed that they will primarily help create AC: Red and Assassin’s Creed Hexe. According to Totilo’s sources, the latest games just don’t have enough people to produce them. The release of Assassins Creed Red is expected in 2024, and the game will allegedly become the biggest blockbuster of the period. The action of the novelty will unfold in feudal Japan, and there will be two protagonists in the plot.
