We came close to the worst this Saturday in Bouvy (La Louvière) where a shooting took place around 11:30 a.m. According to our colleagues from Sudpresse, it is a dispute between two Chechens and two Russian nationals who would have set fire to the powder. Following this altercation, one of the Chechens went to his car to retrieve a handgun. He then fired in the direction of the Russian nationals.
More fear than harm for Russian nationals, one of whom was injured in the leg and taken to hospital before coming out a few hours later. The Chechens fled. The Louvierse police forces remained on the spot for a long time. An investigation is now underway.
The file was put to the instruction this Sunday morning. At the time of writing these lines, the Mons prosecutor’s office refuses to comment. The investigation will now follow its course.
