As part of a research program led by government authorities, Gold Hydrogen announces the discovery of new deposits of natural hydrogen in South Australia. These would be on the surface of several areas of the PEL 687 site that it has the right to explore thanks to government authorization.
The race for white hydrogen is on its way. While major deposits have been located by a team of researchers in Lorraine, new deposits have just been discovered in Australia.
The first phase of this research was conducted by the Australian government agency CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation). This aimed to search for hydrogen in the soil of 80 sites (including PEL 687, owned by Gold Hydrogen) located on the Yorke Peninsula. Located more than 240 meters deep, this white hydrogen would display a purity of 90%.
First drilling at the end of the year
Gold Hydrogen will drill its first well next October to confirm the presence of hydrogen in the soil of PEL 687.
In September 2021, the quantity of hydrogen in the area concerned was estimated at 1.3 million tonnes (the low hypothesis being 207,000 tonnes and the highest 8.8 million tonnes).
A second phase of more in-depth research is planned for the last quarter of 2023 or the first of 2024…
