The new management team intends to accelerate the growth of Pomme de Pain, with new points of sale, and “explore new modes of consumption”.
The management team of the fast food brand Pomme de Pain will take over the company from its owner, the InVivo group, a takeover validated by the Créteil commercial court, announced the brand on Friday in a press release.
This sale takes effect this Friday, according to “the terms established in an agreement between the management of the InVivo group, owner of the brand since 2021 and Nicolas Papageorgopoulos, general manager of Pomme de Pain since July 2020”.
The latter takes over Pomme de Pain, born in 1980 and which today achieves a turnover of 40 million euros in its 108 restaurants, alongside three other members of the management, who “will have the task of pursuing together the developments initiated under the aegis of InVivo”, specifies the press release.
Established throughout France in shopping centres, town centres, motorway rest areas and train stations, as well as in Morocco and Tunisia, the Pomme de Pain restaurants serve made-to-order sandwiches, salads and hot dishes.
Accelerate growth
The new management team intends to accelerate the growth of Pomme de Pain, with a doubling of the number of points of sale by 2027 and “explore new consumption patterns” by creating a “pilot restaurant in Boulogne-Billancourt”, near Paris , the model of which is intended to be rolled out throughout France.
This new restaurant format is intended to be “more technological and more responsible with an even enriched menu”, according to the press release.
Nicolas Papageorgopoulos, who will take the reins of the company, is a specialist in fast food, worked for Starbucks France, Sushi Shop, La Brioche Dorée and Five Guys.
He had joined Pomme de Pain to strengthen its economic model following the Covid-19 pandemic.
