In Sérignan, everyone knows the Promenade, its century-old plane trees, its terraces, its entertainment. But fewer people are familiar with the small Place de la Liberation, just a few steps behind the main square!

This square is now one of the prettiest and liveliest in the city. It was completely redone 10 years ago by the Sérignan architect Alain Fraisse at the request of the current mayor, Frédéric Lacas.

The well that occupied the central space has been removed, the hall has been opened to restore its original state, trees: maples, oaks, ginkgo biloba, have been planted, stone benches laid.

Today, the trees have grown well and quality businesses have been able to set up their terraces in the shade: two restaurants and a wine bar which very often liven up summer evenings!

Children can play quietly next door, on Place de la Liberté and its playground, away from cars.

Last year, a superb fresco by Sunra, which is worth seeing, added poetry to this space in the heart of the city. A true haven of peace. Very often in the evening in summer, musical groups come to the adjoining Place de la Liberté to add atmosphere to the place for everyone’s enjoyment. This place is a haven of peace that breathes the joy of living. . .
