This song comes from a choir composed of 6 Yi children. Wearing traditional costumes of the Yi nationality, they stood in the stadium and sang “The National Flag is Beautiful”. On one side of the stadium, flag bearers held the five-star red flag and walked slowly into the arena.
Behind them was a choir composed of 112 college students from 56 nationalities. After the children sang “The National Flag is So Beautiful”, the college student choir sang “Singing the Motherland” in succession until the five-star red flag reached the flagpole.
The national flag entrance music connected the two songs “The National Flag and the National Flag is Beautiful” and “Singing the Motherland”, expressing the audience’s love for the motherland, with simple and moving feelings.

The six Yi children are all from Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The oldest of them is 14 years old, named Ji Hao You Guo. The other 5 children are from Zhaojue Wanda Sunac Red Ribbon Love School Chorus, who participated in the cultural performance “The Great Journey” celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
